This story is about a university professor accidentally discovering the existence of a mirror world, and how he met and guided a child in the other world — himself in the mirror — back to the right path of life.
This project has two objectives: to create compelling fantasy concepts for completing my impression of how far magic goes in my steampunk world, and to write an interesting, sense-making short story based on my memories.
Being a side story expansion of the Diir Chra world, Professor Fogbuv has given me, the storyteller, a good chance to review the magical side of the Diir Chra world beneath the surface in a clean and intuitive way.
By telling the story of Professor Fogbuv, I’m also trying to remember and honor a piece of precious memory about my personal life struggles as a teenager, and the mentors who were with me throughout the journey.

Character showcase: “World Destroyer”
While Fogbuv collects magic in the real world, Guy creates machinery in the mystic world. He built a destructive “metal golem” to crash the unfair rules in the mirror world. But worry not, professor Fogbuv will be there to stop the destroyer, guiding the youth to the right path, and save the day.

Professor’s office - Secret basement
A fairly mysterious looking room for an old fashioned library science professor, connected by a basement filled with actual magic. Professor Fogbuv secretly collects unseen magic in the surface world and protect them from being known by the public, for it will not bring any good to the magical lives. So yes, finding a world in the mirror won’t surprise him that much!
The Mirror World
This is an impression illustration of the main stage, Guy lives in the darkened harbor area covered by thick clouds, facing the central castle where the sun shines and only shines across a Mediterranean sea. The glorious castle bathing in the light is nothing more than a living curse to those who live below it. This view is the background reason for Guy’s contradicted hope and hate, the seed of “world destroyer“.
